Chair, Audit & Risk Management Committee, Wyndham City Council

⁠⁠⁠Wyndham City Council ("Council") is seeking to appoint a Chair to Council's Audit and Risk Management Committee ("ARMC"). The appointment is for an initial period of three years, with a Council option to appoint for a second and final three-year term.

The ARMC is an advisory committee and its role is to assist Council in fulfilling its responsibilities in relation to governance, risk management and financial reporting as well as review and oversight of the internal audit function. The ARMC meets quarterly and comprises four Independent Members (including the Chair), and three Councillors.

Applicants will have previous experience either as a Chair or as an independent member serving on similar committees or boards for government or corporate entities. You should possess qualifications in accounting/finance/commerce, business or risk management and have experience in practices relating to governance, procurement, finance, project management and information systems. Applicants should also be conversant with the financial and risk management requirements, internal and external audit practices, regulatory requirements and good governance frameworks pertaining to Local Government in Victoria.
