Port of Townsville Limited (POTL) recently obtained environmental approvals allowing upgrade of the Port’s channel to overcome its current limitations pending final funding arrangements. The Channel Capacity Upgrade Project (CCU Project) involves the widening of existing navigational channels to the Port to allow larger vessels safe access (and to improve navigational safety for existing vessels). As part of the preliminary planning works for the project, an opportunity exists for the market to provide Expressions of Interest (EOI) in supplying the marine grade armour rock required for the CCU Project.
