Tender Description
Construction of a one storey building to be constructed adjacent to the existing outdoor multi-purpose stage and shade structure located central to the park.
The project consists of two community rooms, associated storage, WC amenities, kitchenette, an external verandah, stairs and new accessible path.
These facilities will replace and upgrade the existing community facilities located within the adjacent former bowls club to allow for the expanding pre-school and day care, which currently share the building.
The proposed location of the development has been selected to enable it to connect on to the existing outdoor stage, minimising impact on open space within the park while providing support facilities for the stage during community events.
In summary, the proposal seeks to enhance the existing community facilities provided in Burwood Park by providing contemporary, versatile spaces for the local community.
