Update of the Emergency Response Plan for Australian Livestock Export Industry
Tender ID: 345495
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Australian livestock export industry faces a variety of risks throughout the supply chain which have the potential to have negative consequences. Research has shown that organisations that have effective crisis plans and well-trained crisis teams are much more likely to manage incidents effectively and fully recover.
In the case of livestock export, the sustainable future of the trade could be dependent on the ability of a number of organisations including MLA, LiveCorp and the Australian Livestock Exporters Council, to manage the incident in a coordinated and seamless way. A research project is required to review the existing industry Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and the Consignment Risk Management Plan (CRMP) manual, and to conduct simulation exercises to test the effectiveness of the revised ERP.
The Livestock Export Program (LEP) is seeking expressions of interest from qualified consultants to deliver the terms of reference. The LEP will select the best placed researcher to deliver all or part of the review terms of reference.
