State Library Victoria has embarked on a five-year redevelopment project that will transform our public spaces, programs and facilities to better meet the changing needs of the community. The $88.1 million project is supported by funding from the Victorian Government and philanthropic contributions.
Redevelopment works will facilitate an increase of 40% in public spaces, and programme attendance is forecast to rise by 30%. The Redevelopment has also paid particular attention to public amenity including the redevelopment and inclusion of the Café in the Baldwin Spencer Hall and improved function and event spaces and facilities.
State Library Victoria invites responses from suitably qualified and innovative café specialists to operate a newly established Café in its Russell Street Welcome Zone. Part of the Vision 2020 redevelopment, the Café is due to open in August 2018.
