Tender Description
The CDIC is seeking to engage a seller to develop a template for a System Security Plan compliant with NIST SP800-171, based on industry best practice and suited for implementation by an SME. The seller will work with a representative SME to develop this template.
The resultant deliverables will be used by Defence Industry Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to comply with international regulations in respect to the Defence supply chain. The deliverable will need to be completed by mid-December.
SMEs do not have the capability or the resources to perform a review of their system and develop a System Security Plan (SSP) in-house. CDIC is proposing to develop a template for a SSP to assist with SME compliance with NIST SP800-171 (in particular) in a cost effective manner. An SME will be selected by the CDIC as a representative SME for the Seller to assist and develop a template SSP that is suitable for SME. A SSP will be developed by the Seller for the SME and a version of the SSP with attributable and identifying information removed provided to the CDIC as a template for defence industry SMEs.
