Expression of Interest - Public Notice Audit & Ethics Committee Membership

⁠⁠⁠We are seeking expressions of interest from passionate and suitably qualified people to be appointed as an independent Committee member. The appointment will be from 1st December 2017 to 30 November 2020.

The Committee consists of 2 Councillors and 3 Independent members and is responsible for providing independent assurance, oversight and assistance to Council in the areas of risk, control, governance, financial reporting and performance.

A standard fee inclusive of travel, preparation and all other costs associated with attending the meetings will be paid for each meeting attended (currently 6 meetings per annum).

Selection criteria:
* Independence and Objectivity
* Relevant experience and qualifications
* Understanding of Local Government
* Understanding of the role of Corporate Governance in organisations
