Eastern Beach Seabaths Shark Bars

⁠⁠⁠The City of Greater Geelong invites tenders closing 2.00pm on Friday 27 October 2017 from experienced marine contractors for Shark Bar replacement works at Eastern Beach Swimming Enclosure.

The works in this contract include, but are not limited to:
* Mobilise all plant and equipment to site;
* Traffic and Pedestrian Management;
* Survey and set out;
* Develop and implement project Quality Plan, Safety Plan, and Environmental Management Plan;
* Protect existing infrastructure;
* Demolition and disposal of all existing shark bars and associated fixings;.
* Supply and install of new shark bars and associated fixings as per drawings;
* Install zinc anodes (supplied by Council) prior to shark bar installation;
* Reinstate and clean up site;
* Demobilisation of plant and materials;
* Final as-constructed drawings.

Mandatory Criteria
* The tenderer must demonstrate that the works will be performed by experienced marine contractors with relevant qualifications for working in and over water.

Site Inspection
Please be advised that Council will conduct a site inspection at 10:00am on the 10th October 2017 at the Eastern Beach Swimming Enclosure. Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process.

Tenderers are required to notify Council of their attendance by emailing Brett Gilliland beforehand at bgilliland@geelongcity.vic.gov.au

Contract can be executed and offsite works can commence but installation of the shark bars will not begin before 1 March 2018.

The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.
Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
