Rex Creek Intake Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠2018-025 - Invitation to Tender Overview
Douglas Shire Council (DSC) have engaged GHD professional services to provide the detailed design of the upgrade of the Rex Creek Intake. The aim of this upgrade is to improve the quality and performance of the overall system and create a safe working environment for operations staff. The Design drawings nominate a possible construction sequence and the Contractor shall provide their own sequence of works to suit their construction methodology,

The Construction activities shall include but is not limited to the following:
* Site establishment/disestablishment;
* Environmental management;
* Obtaining all necessary permits and approvals;
* Quality assurance;
* Supply of materials;
* Demolition works of existing unused features;
* Temporary bypassing the intake channel and secondary screen chamber;
* Install new penstock and associated benching works;
* Construct new concrete scour channel;
* Install stop logs to existing screens;
* Install new grating over chamber;
* Install new access stairs and handrails;
* Relocate turbidity meter
* Provide formwork/false work for the construction of a new concrete and Stainless Steel intake channel.
* Reinstatement; and
* Preparation and supply of hard copy and electronic copy of the As Constructed drawings in accordance with DSC requirements

* This document represents the release of the Tender to the market;
* It is NOT Mandatory for Suppliers to attend the briefing session (11:00 am, Wednesday, 13th September 2017, Mossman, QLD)
* Tenders will only be accepted until the tender box closes at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, 28 September 2017.
* You must only submit your Offer via the LG tender box e-Tendering website: www.lgtenderbox.com.au.
* Evaluation of Tenders will be conducted against predetermined evaluation criteria and within Council’s governance and probity framework; Council may accept none, one or more of the Tenders submitted.

Late submissions or submissions not lodged as prescribed in this tender document will not be accepted. QLD Code applies to this tender.
