Tender Description
Works will include: removal and disposal of all existing garden bed materials, repairs to existing asphalt surfaces, removal and disposal of existing irrigation system components, construction of new garden beds, including new concrete kerb edging, design and installation of irrigation system, supply and installation of tree grates and guards, installation of asphalt car park surface to meet new garden bed edging and modifications to disabled car park area.
Removal of existing garden bed vegetation and installation of soil, new plantings and mulch works will be completed by Council.
Please Note:
1. Sections of the car park must remain in use during construction works at all times.
2. The contractor is required to submit a project program for approval, prior to the commencement of works, outlining how the car park will remain operational and which sections will continue to be in use throughout various stages of the project work.
The Tender shall be for:
1. Removal and disposal of identified existing car park garden beds, including concrete kerb edging, shrub and groundcover vegetation, shrub and tree roots, tree stumps, existing garden soil and any other debris.
2. Removal of all identified existing irrigation components.
3. Design of a sub-surface drip irrigation system to adequately water all new garden beds as detailed within the specification and drawings
4. Installation of the approved irrigation design connected to Council's 32mm raw water connection in Seymour Street, at the entrance to the car park
5. Installation of tree grates and guards to nominated tree plantings
6. Installation of new concrete garden bed edging
7. Removal and disposal of tree roots causing damage to asphalt surfaces
8. Repairs to all damaged asphalt surfaces
9. Reconfiguration and alterations of the disabled car park spaces
10. Supply and lay new garden bed soil mix
