Expressions of Interest sought for: Yarra City Council Audit Committee

⁠⁠⁠A vacancy exists for an independent member of the Audit Committee of the Yarra City Council.

The Audit Committee operated under a Council adopted charter and is an advisory committee to Council. The key objective of the Committee is to provide an independent assurance and assistance to the Chief Executive and Council in relation to Council's risk management and compliance framework and its external accountability and legislative compliance responsibilities.

Membership of the Committee include two Councillors and three independent members. The term for independent members is three years and an orderly rotation of membership is in place.

Council welcomes expressions of interest from individuals with professional risk management, internal audit or local government experience.
