Revision of Siting and Design Guidelines for Structures on the Victorian Coast
The Siting and Design Guidelines for Structures on the Victorian Coast, were published in 1998 and for 17 years have effectively guided coastal managers and decision makers. With the ongoing pressure of population growth and climate change there is a need to update the guidelines and consider future challenges so they remain relevant for the next 20 years.
An action in the Victorian Coastal Strategy 2104 is to, ‘Revise the Siting and Design Guidelines for Structures on the Victorian Coast to provide contemporary criteria and improved design guidance for coastal development’.
This consultancy is to undertake the revision of the guidelines.
