Tender Description
Parks Victoria wishes to procure the construction of:
A walking track upgrade to AS 2156.1-2001 Class 4 standard, on the upper sections of the Mt Abrupt and the Mt Sturgeon walking tracks.
The main tasks are to install rock steps and flagstone paving using local rock. Install new rock drains, undertake some minor trail realignments, trail reforming and benching. All rock material can be sourced on site.
The scope of works includes:
Upgrading existing Mt Abrupt walking track from WP 182 to the summit (1380 Lin. m).
Track work includes the installation of:
* 129.4 Lin m of track re-benching
* 158 new rock steps (rock on site)
* 286 Lin m of flagstone paving
* 183 Lin m remove trip rocks
* 423 new rock steps from imported rock
* 105 source and split rocks for stone steps
* 21 new rock drains
