Tender Description
The Broadmeadows Railway Station Upgrade is proposed as an integral part of The Broadmeadows Station Precinct Upgrade Project to improve passenger circulation, amenities, access and safety in response to the outdated facilities with poor accessibility and appearance that negatively impacts perceptions of safety and inviting environment. The aim of this project to deliver the following:
* A new station identity;
* An effective multi-modal interchange for trains, buses, taxis, vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians;
* Improved passenger circulation;
* Improved accessibility to platforms;
* Improved connection between the east and west sides of Broadmeadows Metro Activity Centre; and
* Enhance viability and facilitate redevelopment of underutilised government and private land holdings
The scope of works also includes the Pascoe Vale / Dimboola Roads Boulevard Treatment to improve pedestrian amenity and safety at a key point on the eastern edge of the town centre.
