Tender Description
Australian Catholic University (ACU) was established in 1990 through incorporation as a public company limited by guarantee, incorporated pursuant to the Corporations Act. ACU is a public university, funded by the Commonwealth Government, and is open to students and staff of all religious beliefs. ACU is committed to a strong Catholic ethos and seeks to foster and promote teaching and learning, research and scholarship, and community engagement in the spiritual learning tradition.
ACU has seven (7) research institutes and four (4) faculties: Education and Arts, Health Sciences, Law and Business and Theology and Philosophy.
The University has approximately 33,500 students and 3,500 staff spread across seven (7) campuses: Melbourne, Ballarat, Strathfield, North Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, and Adelaide. Headquarters are located in North Sydney.
ACU is seeking a suitably qualified organisation to supply Cisco switches, to replace the University’s current aged switches. These switches are used to connect computers, printers and servers, with the switch serving as a controller, enabling networked devices to talk to each other efficiently.
ACU has recently standardised its Cisco switch fleet to the Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series, to meet IT operational and strategic initiatives.
