Tender Description
Council is seeking to provide adequate maintenance and reinstatement of asphalt road and footpath pavements to ensure that assets are maintained appropriately and that danger to pedestrians and road users is minimised. Council also wants to improve on its knowledge of the current road and footpath network and the service provided to its customers through good reporting systems.
The extent of work under the Contract involves undertaking day-to-day road and asphalt footpath maintenance throughout the municipality. The schedule of rates contract is for a three year period commencing on the 18 September 2017. There will be an option of a 2 year extension of the contract at Council’s sole discretion.
Council is seeking tenders from suitable qualified contractors to:
a) To provide maintenance service for the road and asphalt footpath network that preserves Council’s assets and provides a safe environment for the users Council roads and asphalt.
b) At all times to provide a timely service to deal with faults in the road and asphalt path network.
c) To keep and provide to the Council records of maintenance activities undertaken for the upgrade of the Council’s records regarding its road and asphalt path network. The contractor will adopt Council's asset management system Confirm and associated processess.
