Tender Description
The Safe System Road Infrastructure Program (SSRIP) invites contractors that are R3 and F005 or above VicRoads pre-qualified to submit their interest to undertake early works as part of the CSBP. The works will be broken down into the following packages:
Package 1 - Calder Highway Fogartys Gap Rd to Gap Rd Sunbury
* The left hand road reserve only
* Approximately 150kms of preparation works to be completed.
Package 2 - Western Highway Ballarat to Bacchus Marsh
* Median and left hand road reserve
* Approximately 230kms of preparation works to be completed.
The scope of the preparation early works includes:
a) Shoulder clearing, grubbing and vegetation removal;
b) Minor cut and fill earthworks in accordance with the Safe System Road Design Principles to achieve the required formation for safety barrier installation;
c) Traffic Management;
d) Service locating and proving; and
e) Management of the provision of design as and when required for any specific areas of the early works.
SSRIP requires the works to be completed by 31st July 2017. A select Request for Tender (RFT) to select contractors (one per package, or a single contractor for both) will be issued by mid-April 2017.
