Camden Council has relocated to a new administration building at Oran Park in 2016, vacating their administration building at 37 John Street Camden and relocating many of the Council functions to the new administration building. Thge front section of 37 John Street building, the heritage house, 'Macaria' has been identified for the use of an Art Gallery. The building therefore to be converted for this purpose.
The refurbishment mainly concentrates on the interior of the building. This will include some demolition works, the upgrading of services, installation of new internal ceilings, some structural works to wall openings and patching, new kitchenette and ambulant toilet spaces, polishing of existing floorboards, painting.
Construct will be approx 14 weeks. Target commencement date to be May 2017.
