Lease of the Tramshed Arts and Community Cafe

Council is upgrading the Tramshed Arts & Community Centre and the works aim to cater for the increasing demand for community space by improving functionality and circulation and these works are in line with Council's Asset Management Strategy and are due for completion in June 2017.

The upgrade works will provide better visibility for such a major community hub and have the ability to attract more community use and more patronage to events. It is expected that this area will be activated by increasing the utilisation of the centre and providing a much improved connection to the existing playground and Berry Reserve. As part of the works, a cafe is provided as a warm shell with the internal fit out to be carried out by the successful operator.

The cafe is to cater to the users of the community centre as well as the general public and enhance the public use of The Tramshed Arts & Community Centre. The Tramshed Arts & Community Centre public purpose is to be preserved.
