From Jails to Jobs - Professional Services

⁠⁠⁠The objective of this procurement activity is to contract a service provider to deliver job training and readiness skills and to reduce recidivism two years post release, for 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants of the From Jails to Jobs initiative. The service provider is required to provide the following services North Queensland and Far North Queensland:
* Job readiness skills to meet the resources’ sector training requirements
* Individual brokerage funding
* Aboriginal and or Torres Strait islander Mentoring follow up
* Wrap around services over a two year period to support individuals to remain in employment within the resource sector and to reduce recidivism amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners by providing job training and readiness skills and linking offenders with industry partners to secure skilled jobs.

Professional services to: transition 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander offenders from prison into on-going employment in the resource sector, and to reduce recidivism amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander prisoners.

Please note: The Department of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships will be closed from 23 December 2016 until 3 January 2017.
