Tender Description

The performing arts venues at Monash University are the largest single cultural resource outside the inner Melbourne metropolitan area. Situated at both the Clayton and Peninsula campuses, one of the performing arts key functions is the facilitation of opportunities for the development and presentation of arts activity for Monash University and the Greater Melbourne region. MAPA has high quality facilities and venues which are widely utilised by both theatre companies, individual hirers and community groups alike.

MAPA currently has a ticketing system in place and has done for over 5 years. As new technology with smart phones, cloud based programs, and market segmentation have developed at a rapid pace, MAPA would like a system that is supportive of newer ticketing and event management technologies.

As event management and ticket sales is the core of MAPA's business it is critical to have a state of the art system that can support the business needs now and in the future. The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts is a $45-million-dollar complex being built that will herald a new era of 21st century performing arts facilities at the Clayton campus. With this new centre will come a greater demand for a system that can deliver outstanding customer usage and support for MAPA staff.

Please note, one of the documents in the RFP, Part C Conditions of Contract, will be released on or before the 25th of November.
