Tender Description
The City of Greater Geelong is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced civil construction firms/partnerships to form a panel of pre-qualified contractors. This panel will be subsequently used by Council for select tendering purposes in relation to upcoming civic upgrades in the Central Geelong area.
In the initial roll-out of projects, the focus will be on street upgrade works to renew existing road and kerbing assets, with the inclusion of high quality street landscape elements. Ultimately, the scope of works could extend to any civil-based works based around civic infrastructure such as, but not limited to:
* Road and footpath pavements and kerb upgrades;
* Drainage infrastructure upgrades/replacements;
* Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) installations;
* Street landscaping treatments including significant horticultural elements;
* Street/public lighting upgrades;
* Street furniture installations;
* Public art installations;
* Minor structural installations.
The purpose of establishing a panel of pre-qualified civil construction firms/partnerships is to streamline future tendering processes for civil projects specific to central Geelong, and relative to the scope defined in this EOI process.
