North Sydney Council has 36 seawalls with a total length of 4,915m with average heights of 2.8m under its care, control, and management. Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified consultants to;
1. Carry out inventory data collection and detailed condition assessment of these seawalls
2. Carry out a detailed investigation and condition assessment of the backfill immediately behind these structures
3. Carry out localized investigations of areas in backfill where voids are identified
4. Carry out an Australian Height Datum survey of seawalls in the North Sydney Council Local Government Area
The intention of this condition assessment is so that the following can be completed:
* Develop maintenance and capital works programs
* Identification of areas where voids may be present
* Detailed valuation of North Sydney Council's seawalls
