TfNSW requires the services of a Service Provider to provide design management and technical services for the development of technical documentation to progress the City & Southwest Reference Design for underground stations.
The engineering design team must include the requisite qualifications, skills, and proven experience in the design of rail projects, and meet the TfNSW Asset Standard’s Authority (ASA) Authorised Engineering Authority (AEO) requirements.
The design and contract documentation produced will consist of fully integrated designs, which incorporate all necessary functional, environmental, economic, whole of life, social, aesthetic and sustainability factors. The design team will support the development of the line wide solutions, with all interfaces managed and coordinated with relevant parties.
The development of this design will be required to consider possible integration with Over Station Development. The USDTS will need to be coordinated with the design of the line wide systems (e.g. track, tunnel ventilation, lifts and escalators, platform screen doors, etc) and the Trains, Systems and Operations & Maintenance (TSOM) packages.
TfNSW will incorporate an option to novate the underground stations design team to delivery sub-contractors to facilitate the underground station design progression to Final Design and construction.
The Request for Tender will be released in the week beginning 14 November 2016 and a Registrants Briefing will be provided. Further details will be provided to registered organisations.
