Ausgrid invites the lodgement of tenders to companies capable of delivering equipping works at the newly constructed Cessnock South Zone Substation to facilitate the integration of this substation into the existing Ausgrid Network.
Civil and building works on the new Cessnock South Zone Substation is currently underway. Once constructed, Ausgrid requires the substation to be equipped with all appropriate electrical equipment.
The outcome will be a fully equipped zone substation that has successfully passed all specified and agreed testing and commissioning criteria and is integrated into the Ausgrid network as a fully functioning asset.
The successful company will be required to provide holistic services including but not limited to; approvals, plant, labour, management, all required specialist expertise, environmental and community management, equipment and material supply, site preparation, primary and secondary system, installation and testing while in control of all aspects of the works engaged as the Principal Contractor.
A mandatory pre-tender meeting will be held on site; 23 South Avenue, Cessnock, at 10.00 am, Tuesday 11 October 2016. All prospective respondents must attend this meeting.
Respondents must satisfy the following mandatory criteria:
* Attendance at the mandatory pre-tender meeting /site inspection
* Tender submitted on time
* Experience in successful delivery of similar equipping works in substations for transmission and distribution voltages in the past 5 years
* Management systems in place and certified:
* Quality System certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent
* Safety Management System certified to AS 4801:2001 or equivalent
* Environmental Management System certified to AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 or equivalent.
