Expressions of Interest For Lease of a Cafe Kiosk with a Possible Social Enterprise Component

⁠⁠⁠ Waverley Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) submissions for lease of a café kiosk with a possible social enterprise component at Ground Floor Kiosk, Mill Hill Community Centre, 31-33 Spring Street, Bondi Junction NSW 2022.

In addition to the provision of a quality service, a key outcome sought by this expression of interest is a social enterprise component including but not limited to the provision of employment and skills for unemployed and disadvantaged members of the local community, customer service and hospitality industry to improve employment potential for those most at need in our community.

To support the establishment of this service, Waverley Council will provide a rental subsidy for the operation of the social enterprise café as for registered non-for profit organisations. Registered non-for profit organisations will be required to sign Council’s community precedent lease for a term of five (5) years.

The property has existing DA approval for coffee shop and Council is offering the property in its current condition on a ‘as is basis’ inclusive of existing kitchen equipment. (List of Lessor equipment is annexed to this EOI document).

A Viewing Session of the premises will be held on from 2 pm to 3 pm Thursday 29th September 2016 on site at Café Kiosk Mill Hill Community Centre 31-33 Spring Street, Bondi Junction.

Prospective applicants may wish to submit questions, question submissions will close on 5pm 5th October 2016.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) commences on 21st September 2016 and will expire on 12th October 2016.

Applications must be lodged electronically via Tenders Online by 5pm 12th October 2016.
