Tender Description
The Power Supply Upgrade Program is designed to ensure Sydney's rail network is able to meet expected power requirements to support future timetables and air-conditioned fleet. The program involves upgrades to substations, section huts, overhead wiring and feeders as well as the construction of new infrastructure across the network.
The works anticipated under this contract consist of the upgrade of existing 1500V DC Feeders at the following nine locations:
* Argyle 422/3 - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Gordon 661/1A - 2 additional 400m2 cables
* Warrawee 652/1B - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Warrawee 661/1A - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Beecroft N52/1A - 2 additional 400m2 cables
* Granville 384/1A - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Newtown 303/4 - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Newtown 304/4 - 1 additional 400m2 cable
* Cowan SN1/3C - 1 additional 400m2 cable
It is proposed that this work will be undertaken as a design and construct tender. It is anticipated that a document will be issued to the market in early to mid November 2016.
