Port Authority of New South Wales (PANSW) provides Marine Pilotage to the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales Australia.
PANSW presently has one marine pilot transfer launch which was commissioned in 2005.
PANSW invites Tenderers from suitably qualified Companies to submit a tender to design, construct, and deliver one (1) marine pilot transfer launch in accordance with the requirements of the National Standard for Commercial Vessels (NSCV) Class 2C Survey.
The vessel is required by the Port Authority for general operations. This may include, short and long range pilot transfers, port tours and incident response (in both slight and heavy sea conditions), in-water person recovery, boarding of other vessels and pollution response. The vessels will operate in smooth, partially smooth and offshore waters to 15 nautical miles.
Vessels shall be designed to carry six (6) persons in most sea and wind conditions. The vessel will have low wash characteristics at service speed and minimum back spray on wheelhouse.
