Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠The Department wishes to engage a suitably qualified supplier to deepen and widen the channel seabed on the approach and adjacent to the Kingston Pier at Norfolk Island, install a navigation aid, and to undertake repairs and strengthening to the sheet pile wall and fendering of the Kingston Pier.

The Project is aligned to the strategic planning context at Norfolk Island, specifically the Norfolk Island Tourism Strategic Plan 2013-2023 and the Norfolk Island Economic Development Strategy 2015 and has received approval under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.

The Project will involve removing in-situ material from the seabed, dewatering of spoil, transport and placement of spoil at a land-based disposal site, installation of a channel navigation aid, stabilisation of the existing steel sheet pile wall and repairs to the fendering system.

Conditions for Participation:

The Tenderer either:

(a) holds a Valid and Satisfactory Statement of Tax Record by the Closing Time; or

(b) has a receipt demonstrating that a Statement of Tax Record has been requested from the Australian Taxation Office by the Closing Time, and holds a Valid and Satisfactory Statement of Tax Record no later than four (4) business days from the Closing Time.

Note to tenderers: Tenderers should apply for a Statement of Tax Record and should ensure that their subcontractors apply for a Statement of Tax Record within sufficient time to meet this Condition for Participation.

The Tenderer holds a Valid and Satisfactory Statement of Tax Record for any first tier subcontractor that it proposes, as part of its tender, to engage to deliver goods or services with an estimated value of over $4 million (GST inclusive).

The Tenderer complies with all relevant legislation relating to the employment or engagement of child-related personnel, and all child-related personnel hold or will hold prior to provision of the Works current working with children checks.

The Tenderer must demonstrate financial capacity to fulfil the requirements of this Tender.

The Tenderer must demonstrate required insurance coverage.

The Tenderer must demonstrate a Quality System, WHS System and Environmental Management System certified to the relevant Australian Standards or International Standards.

The Tenderer is required to confirm its consent, and the consent of all nominated individuals, to the Department, or its agent, contacting nominated referees and other sources, to satisfy itself as to the suitability of the Tenderer and its proposed team and sub-contractors.
