Tender Description
Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers to construct roundabouts and all other associated works at multiple locations. The project is divided into two separable portions being:
* Separable Portion 1. Works under this portion consist of the construction of one roundabout at the intersection of Norman St and Hunter St, Condell Park and a new traffic island at Norman St and William St, Condell Park.
* Separable Portion 2. Works under this portion consist of the construction of one roundabout and two raised pedestrian refuge islands and are situated at three different locations at Noble Ave, Greenacre. Locations are as follows:
* Roundabout at intersection of Noble Avenue and Cardigan Road
* Raised island at intersection of Noble Avenue and Shellcote Street
* Raised island at intersection of Noble Avenue and Nockolds Avenue
In accordance with clause 2.5, Council retains the right to award the contract on a separable portions basis. Tenderers may submit a tender for one or two of the separable portions.
All physical works for each separable portion must be completed on or before 17th February 2017. Tenderers must provide a construction program and list of resources to demonstrate their capacity to achieve this deadline.
It is to be noted that no work will be taking place from 19/12/16 to 06/01/17 inclusive due to the Christmas break. This period must be shown on the construction program.
Tenderers are required to submit individual lump sums for each of the separable portions. A separate Bill of Quantities (BOQ) is provided for each portion. and the Tenderers are given the opportunity to offer a percentage discount should they be successful in being awarded multiple portions.
