Tender Description

CIVIL WORKS NEW SEWER MAIN CONNECTION
From Newton Street, Spearwood to Operations Centre, 52-54 Wellard Street, Bibra Lake WA

The City of Cockburn (the Principal) is seeking the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Civil Works Contractor to undertake the construction of a new gravity sewer main connection from the existing Newton Street Wastewater Pumping Station (WWPS), Spearwood to the Principal's Operations Centre, 52-54 (Lots 50, 51 and 52) Wellard Street, Bibra Lake WA.

The scope of works; include but are not limited to, the following:
(a) Pipework-Supply and Construction of approximately 1,120m DN225 SN8 PVC-U Gravity Pipework; including the supply and installation of all pipe fittings, bends, and marker posts.

(b) Access Chambers, Maintenance Shafts and Property Connections (Supply and Installation)

(c) Pipe Jacking-Thrust Boring-To align the new sewer inside a DN375 Reinforced Concrete (RC) sleeve underneath the existing freight rail corridor and Stock Road to Brookfield Rail and Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) requirements respectively; including all temporary works, liaison and associated approvals from relevant stakeholders.

(d) Pipe Jacking-Thrust Boring-To align the new sewer inside a DN375 RC sleeve underneath a section of Lot 50 in Howson Way and past the existing Western Power assets in Howson Way (HV power transmission pole and stay wires).

(e) Relocation of Any Existing Infrastructure (e.g. soakwells) adversely affected by the works.

(f) All Associated Testing, Commissioning and Connections-To the existing access chamber outside the Newton Street WWPS at 18.05 AHD, to enable live operation of the sewer.

(g) Reinstatement of lots, road surface and the road reserve to the satisfaction of the Principal and associated lot owners.
(h) As-Constructed Drawings and Documentation/Records in accordance with the Water Corporation of WA's requirements (Completion and provision of to the Principal).

It is the Principal's expectation that the Contract shall be awarded in October 2016 and completed within twelve (12) weeks of commencement of the works.

The Contractor will be required to provide all labour, plant, tools and equipment, materials, fees and charges, chemicals, transport-cartage etc. and anything else necessary for the completion of the proposed Contract.
