City of Ballarat is seeking submissions from suitably qualified and experienced individuals or companies to provide upgrade / refurbishment of Oval No. 1 at the Marty Busch Recreation Reserve, Sebastopol.
The new oval will be approx. 173 metres long x 120 metres wide; and have an approximate area of 17,800 square metres. The oval is to be reshaped to form a more regular oval shape while maintaining the general surface shape with a more even slope to the perimeter. A concrete spoon drain will be installed around the perimeter. A new sub-surface drainage system, a new automatic irrigation system and a new fence will be installed.
Work on site must commence by August 31, 2016 with the expectation that the oval will be ready for local AFL matches by March / April 2017.
