Summary of Specification
The following summary indicates the general nature of the Works for which The Principal desires Tenders to be submitted and is issued to enable Contractors to make an assessment whether the Specification documents should be obtained from The Principal for the purpose of submitting a tender response. It does not form part of the Specification and should not be included as part of the Tenderer's offer. All drawings will be issued at the mandatory Pre Tender Site Meeting.

Purpose of Work
The works required under this contract will cover the design and construction of direct chemical injection systems at the Demineralised Water Plant and Polisher Regen Plant at Vales Point Power Station.

Extent of Work
The extent of the work is as follows:

a) Portion 1
The Contractor will be responsible for the design and construction of a sodium hydroxide direct injection system for the ‘A’ Demineralised Water Train, ‘B’ Demineralised Water Train, Emergency Demineralised Water Plant (EDP) and Polisher Regeneration Plant at Vales Point Power Station.

b) Optional Portion 2
The Contractor will be responsible for the design and construction of a sulphuric acid direct injection system for the Emergency Demineralised Water Plant (EDP) at Vales Point Power Station.

c) Optional Portion 3
The Contractor will be responsible for the design, construction and modification of the existing sulphuric acid direct injection system for the Polisher Regeneration Plant at Vales Point Power Station
