The YMCA of Canberra is seeking expressions of interest from food businesses, manufacturers and distributors who would be interested in working with the YMCA to supply food items, which meet the category of Green under the National Healthy School Canteen Guidelines (NHSCG), to the Canberra school canteen market.
For details on requirements of a product to be classified as Green please refer to the documentation.
NHSCG are the standard applied for classification of food items in school canteens in the ACT and applicants should ensure any proposed products meet the classification of Green under these guidelines and not under state guidelines.
The YMCA is a charity organisation and is conducting a 3 year project aimed at supporting schools and school canteens to provide viable food services, which meet the Healthy School Canteen Guidelines. This project is funded by the ACT Government under ACT Health Promotion Grants Program.
