Tender Description
The Department is seeking to engage one or multiple supplier/s to provide lighting services and audio services for the production for the 2016 to 2018 Schools Spectacular. Suppliers will have the option to tender for either lighting or audio or both in their submission.
The successful provider(s) must be able to:
* Provide the lighting and/or audio technical infrastructure for the Schools Spectacular
* Provide personnel with relevant professional experience and qualifications necessary to deliver the lighting and/or audio services
* Provide all materials in line with the Department’s specifications.
* Itemise all major costs relating to this production.
The NSW Department of Education’s Schools Spectacular is a high profile Performing Arts arena event involving the participation of over 5,000 public school children and young people. The Schools Spectacular will be celebrating its 33rd year of production.
The annual two day event will be staged at Qudos Bank Arena in 2016 for the first time, with a decision made in December 2016 as to the location of the event in subsequent years. It comprises Friday and Saturday matinee and evening performances, attracts arena audiences of over 30,000 people and is recorded for a televised broadcast nationally.
Suppliers must work towards facilitating both the needs of the Arena live show and the relevant needs of the broadcast production.
