The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for DET75906. It includes a review of DET policy and procedure relevant to students with disability.

A number of major reviews regarding support and education options for students with disability across Australia have occurred in 2015. The Department wants to be at the forefront, and build on these learnings and recommendations to ensure it is providing a world-class education for school-aged students with disability enrolled in Queensland state schools.The Minister for Education has approved an external review to provide strategic evidence-based information to guide future directions for the education of students with disability in Queensland state schools, including students with complex and challenging needs. The focus of the review will be current state legislation, policy, guidelines and processes, resourcing, workforce capability, support delivery and infrastructure. An external review has the potential to highlight proactive measures being undertaken to drive continuous improvement for students with disability including policy, practice and funding models.

The following is out of scope of the review:
* Services provided to the non-state schooling sector.
* Provision of early childhood development programs and services.
* Post-School options/destinations.
