Tender Description
Tweed Shire Council (Council), in association with the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, is seeking the services of an appropriately experienced and qualified consultant to prepare a new management plan for the Tweed River Estuary in the Tweed Shire, NSW, in accordance with the process set out in the draft NSW Coastal Management Manual 2015.
The new management plan (Coastal Management Program or CMP under the NSW Coastal Management Manual) will outline strategies and actions that can be delivered over the next ten years to achieve integrated management of the Estuary, consistent with the principles of ecologically sustainable development and the 12 high-level statutory objectives for integrated coastal management in NSW, which are included in the Coastal Management Bill 2015.
A number of key issues are identified in the Tweed River Estuary, which are to be investigated during the development of the CMP by the consultant. Full details of the Services brief are included in the Specification section of the RFO document.
Council has a total maximum budget of $176,000 (including GST) to spend on this Contract, and will award the Contract to the Bidder that best demonstrates an understanding of the requirement and a methodology that provides the most value to Council, in terms of inclusions versus total Contract price, within this cost cap.
