Kingston City Council is seeking tenders from experienced Civil Construction Contractors for Beardsworth Ave, Chelsea Rd intersection drainage to Scotch Parade Chelsea - Drainage Construction.
The scope of works in this contract includes the following:
* Construction of a new drainage system from Scotch Parade through Chelsea Recreation Reserve to drain high flows from the intersection of Beardsworth and Chelsea Road and create underground storage for the peak flows that will be released after the storm event has past.
* Construction of a cast insitu grated box culvert in Beardsworth Avenue
* Reinstatement of all disturbed areas including fencing, road pavement, nature strips and Chelsea Recreation Reserve fire training track and overflow car parking area
To be eligible for this contract, Tenderers must have their OH&S Management System certified by a recognised independent authority or have had their system approved by the City of Kingston within the last 12 months.
At this stage it is Council’s intention to award the contract so the Contractor is able to commence on site from 19th of September 2016.
The maximum period on site is expected to be no more than eight weeks
The contractor must achieve Practical Completion by 1st March 2017.
