ACU is a public university funded by the Commonwealth Government and is open to students and staff of all beliefs. The University has seven research institutes and four faculties: Education and Arts, Health Sciences, Law and Business, and Theology and Philosophy. ACU currently has more than 30,000 students across its seven campuses in Australia, including: Adelaide, Ballarat, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney (North Sydney and Strathfield).
The University has developed and grown substantially over the last five years and its strategic positioning has entered a new phase. The University is seeking to enhance its overall management of risk and recognises that internal audit is an important part of a mature risk management framework.
ACU is seeking a suitably qualified person/s or organisation (‘the Consultant’) to perform an enterprise-wide internal audit function. The appointed Consultant will have significant knowledge, experience and expertise to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting activity to add value and improve the University’s operations.
The Internal Audit Service will complement and leverage quality management, business improvement and compliance systems and practices currently in place at ACU, including a Planning, Quality and Risk Framework which aligns these activities and is embedded within all areas of the University's operations.
