Granville Streetscape Upgrade

⁠⁠⁠Granville Streetscape Upgrade, Construction of Civil Infrastructure, Footpath, Stormwater, Landscaping, Artworks, Lighting and Associated Works.

Parramatta City Council proposes to upgrade the streetscape of Russell Street, part of Carlton Street and the adjacent unnamed Lane, joining Carlton Street and Russell Street, Granville, as follows:
1. PART A: Russell Street, full length, from South Street to Carlton Street, Granville;
2. PART B: Unnamed Lane from Carlton Street (adjacent to Abla's Pastries) to Russell Street, Granville.

Council has allocated funding to upgrade the Granville Streetscape in this Financial Year. Council may choose to proceed with either Part A or Part B or Part A and Part B combined.

The works under the Contract shall include the provision of all labour, supervision, tools, materials, supplies, equipment, plant, transportation and services required to complete the works.

The works include the following significant features:

PART A:
Russell Street, full length, from South Street to Carlton Street:
Includes new sandstone kerb and concrete gutter throughout (275m);
Decorative footpath treatment, including recycled pavers (755m2) and Bluestone (210m2) paver banding;
Road drainage, including new property roof downpipes;
17 new Trees, raised garden beds, soft landscaping and irrigation system;
Road Pavement resheet upgrade (1510m2);
New Heritage lighting and associated electrical works;
Artwork (box seats, tree guards, plinth and pavement);
Includes new kerb and gutter and footpath paving treatment to the front of the Granville Town Hall.

PART B:
Unnamed Lane from Carlton Street (adjacent to Abla's Pastries) to Russell Street:
Includes full road reconstruction (600m2);
Including stormwater drainage upgrade.

A final decision will not be made regarding this Tender until early April 2016, with works expected to commence April 2016.

No pre-tender meeting is proposed, however it is recommended that prospective Tenderers visit the project site to confirm 'scope of work', and if questions arise submit these via the Tenderlink forum or to tenders@parracity.nsw.gov.au.
