Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking quotations from suitably qualified businesses as a means to select a Service Provider to undertake specified Detailed Engineering Design and Cost Estimates for the Upgrade of the Regional Livestock Selling Centre at Scone.
The objective of the upgrade is to provide a state of the art modern facility addressing the animal welfare and work health and safety requirements along with reducing the impact on the environment in terms of waste management, water usage and electricity consumption.
The major focus areas are:
* Improve animal welfare;
* Reduce work health and safety risks;
* Improve livestock handling and saleyard efficiency;
* Reduce environmental impacts;
* Increase returns for the cattle producers, Council and agents;
* Increase efficiency; and
* Reduce operational costs
