⁠⁠⁠Overview

Transport for NSW is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced tenderers for the supply of professional electrical engineering services associated with the upgrade of the electrical system on the Twin Bridges over the entrance to Lake Macquarie at Swansea, on State Highway 10 (Pacific Highway), in the City of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales.

This Request for Tender (RFT) outlines the details to be provided by tenderers and sets out the requirements and conditions for the tender. The RFT includes the documents which will form the basis of the Contract under which the successful tenderer will be engaged.

Purpose

The services are required to support the upgrade of the existing electrical system associated with Swansea Bridge, which is outdated and no longer compliant with current electrical standards, as identified through a recent Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).

Scope

The project will be delivered in two stages: design and implementation. This engagement covers the design works and technical support during the implementation phase. The scope includes:

• Upgrade design for the electrical system associated with the Twin Bridges over the entrance to Lake Macquarie at Swansea
• Provision of professional electrical engineering services for Swansea Bridge
• Technical support during the implementation phase of the electrical system upgrade, including supply and installation activities

Contractor Requirements

• Compliance with the Transport Statement of Business Ethics throughout the procurement process and any subsequent contract period
• Compliance with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework
• Compliance with the NSW Government Supplier Code of Conduct
• Compliance with the New South Wales Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement

Tender Briefing and Site Inspection

This is an open tender. A Mandatory Tenderer Meeting, including a pre-tender briefing and site inspection, will be held on site.

• Attendees: A maximum of two representatives from each tenderer (not each member of a tenderer) may attend

Prior to visiting the site, all attendees must complete the Swansea Bridge Visitor's Induction. If there are any changes to the date, the advertisement will be updated at least one week in advance.
