Portland Airport Bore Replacement & Associated Works

⁠⁠⁠The Glenelg Shire Council invites Tenders from contractors for The Portland Airport Bore works at Heath Road Portland, Victoria.

This tender outlines the requirements for the construction of the new bore and associated reticulation pipelines. Upon commissioning of the new bore and pipelines the surplus existing bores (2) and surplus pipelines are to be decommissioned (specification section 3.8).

The contract works to be performed includes:
(a) Location of all existing services including bore(s), pipelines, electrical conduits and there alignments prior to excavation.
(b) Works are to comply with all Authorities and or Standard(s) and or Manufacturers requirements.
(c) Make application for licence to construct a bore, decommission bores and or obtain approval(s)/ licences as required.
(d) The construction of all underground works including boring/drilling, excavation, testing, backfilling trenches, decommissioning and making good of all disturbed surfaces in accordance with the contract documentation.
(e) Commissioning of the new bore and pipelines including flushing and 'cut-over' from the existing pipelines to the new bore pipelines.

'Cut-over' will include:
(f) Measurement of new bore flow rates.
(g) Filling, flushing and commissioning of the new bore / pipelines.
(h) Cross connection of existing pipework from the existing pipelines to the new pipelines.
(i) Decommissioning and removal where practical of the existing bores and pipelines infrastructure.
(j) Warranty of all works and rectification of any defects during the defects liability period.
(k) Provision of a 'Portland Airport Bore Service Manual' detailing all infrastructure (including bores, pumps, conduits and pipes), servicing requirements and decommissioned details, and provide 'As Constructed' saleable plans with appropriate offsets to allow relocation in the future.
