TasWater's continuous improvement program and recent security audit, has identified a need for an upgrade of the open transport network and security infrastructure, and the implementation of enhanced access control and traffic management within the SCADA environment.
TasWater has established a program of work around the initiatives required to implement SCADA network security enhancements necessary to have a secure, segregated environment to support the SCADA infrastructure, with security zones to improve secure access to and from the SCADA environments. This has been achieved by creating a new network separated from the corporate environment with no Internet access.
