Tender Description
Kingston City Council is seeking tenders from experienced Civil Construction Contractors or similar organizations that have been involved with sportsfield construction to upgrade the oval at Edithvale Common.
The oval upgrade involves the following:
* Remove concrete cricket pitch and underlying foundations from the oval surface.
* Kill the existing grass cover using Glyphosate.
* Strip the top 50mm layer from the oval surface and immediate surrounds.
* Utilize the existing topsoil for the new oval then reshape according to the design drawings.
* Cultivate and amend the topsoil layer.
* Install subsurface drainage according to the design drawings.
* Install an automatic irrigation system according to the design drawings.
* Install two sump pumps.
* Install electrical conduit and connect power supply to each sump pump
* Re-develop surrounds to match new oval surface.
* Grass the surface with shredded Village Green kikuyu sod.
* Maintain the Oval surface for 16 weeks from grassing.
