Tender Description

Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and Centroc seek to co-develop an energy efficiency and renewable energy project across Centroc's 16 LGA members. Dubbo City Council, while not a Centroc member, is a significant energy user and part of the Bathurst Orange Dubbo (BOD) Alliance so will be included in collaborations and work in this project.

This brief is intended to engage a consultant to assist with the process of working with Centroc, OEH and councils to identify potential renewable energy projects, in particular solar and storage. This process includes two workshops encompassing energy efficiency, a discussion about what the changing landscape of renewable energy means for councils and a potential pilot project incorporating battery storage, for interested councils to take to ARENA for co-funding.

It is expected the successful consultant will work closely with OEH and Centroc to design and deliver this work. Centroc and OEH will deliver Workshop 1 in November covering energy efficiency and multi-criteria analysis which the consultant will be expected to attend but not lead. Workshop 2 in February 2016 will be around renewable energy / storage opportunities and how these fit into funding frameworks and will be led by the successful consultant.

Quotations must be received by Wednesday 23rd September 2015.
