Expression of Interest (EOI) - Lease and Management of The Cafe at Horsham Town Hall

⁠⁠⁠Exciting Business Opportunity for Experienced and Innovative Hospitality, or Café / Restaurant Operators

Horsham Rural City Council is seeking interest from operators to lease and manage the café at the new Horsham Town Hall.

Interested parties must have proven industry experience in hospitality or café/restaurant business, a commitment to customer service and the ability to work in partnership with Horsham Town Hall programs and activities.

The café will provide a service to the residents of Horsham and the Wimmera, but will also act as an attractor for visitors, new residents and local audiences to visit Horsham Town Hall, encouraging exposure to, and engagement with the Council’s arts and cultural activities. As a result the effective operation of the Café is critical to the overall operation of the Horsham Town Hall.

It is expected that café fit out, including kitchen fixtures and fittings, cleaners sink, crockery, cutlery, glassware, tables and chairs will be provided by the café operator/lessee, but subject to the prior approval of Horsham Rural City Council.

It is anticipated that the Horsham Town Hall will support 150-200 events each year over the first 3 years of operation ranging from conferences, performances, expos and small meetings.

The term of the lease will be for a five year term, with options for up to three further terms.

To assist interested parties in familiarising themselves with the requirements, an information session and site visit will be conducted by private appointment.

Expressions of Interest remain open until 12 Noon, Wednesday 7th October 2015.

Late submissions will not be received

Council reserves the right to invite one or all respondents to the EOI to enter into a tendering process for the appointment of an operator/lessee
