EOI Design, Supply & Install Secure Protection of Services in the Civic Centre Basement Car Park

⁠⁠⁠Council has occupied the 225 Lonsdale Street premises for approximately one year and during that time there have been a range of security related incidents.

The increased patronage has resulted in a rise in the number of incidents, some of which have had the potential to compromise the integrity of the security of the building. The majority of these incidents have however, been resolved through the onsite security guard or through a visible police presence.

Council has responded to this emerging threat by engaging a security risk management organisation, to conduct a review of site security and safety. The brief to the consultant was to review the type of incidents that have occurred and the effectiveness of Council security controls.

As a result of this review the basement car park of the Civic Centre was highlighted as a potential risk due to the number of services suspended from the soffit of the ground floor.

Works include but not limited to the design, documentation manufacture and installation of
* Provide design services to complete design and construction documentation
* Installation of suspended mesh ceiling to critical services areas and lift foyer
* Extension of and strengthening of existing generator fencing to soffit of ground floor
* Protection of cable tray and cabling
* Protection of fire hydrant main line
* Protection of all PVC piping
* Protection to specified areas of car park mechanical system
* Protection to all wall mounted services, CO2 sensors, roller shutter control box, call point, warden intercom point
* Protection of grease trap suction point
