J0092 - Infrastructure in support of L3025 Phase 1 - Design Services Consultant - Invitation to Register

⁠⁠⁠Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Design Services Contractor for certain works on the basis described in the Invitatation to Register Documents.

Defence project L3025 Phase 1 is currently being developed to provide the SOER with new capability to support special operations and deployed Australian Defence Force personnel. Defence project J0092 (this project) will in turn provide the infrastructure and future planning required to support project L3025, which is currently scheduled to be delivered in financial year 2016/2017.

More specifically, the current facilities required under this project, subject to development through the design process, include:

* a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) —it is likely that this will require the extension of an existing building. This scope item also includes all necessary decanting, staging and/or redistribution required to optimise the current Operations Centre workspace, all required voice and data networks (including a wide range of Defence and other agency networks), video conferencing and minimisation of disruption to ongoing operations during construction;
* an Equipment Ready Room for storage and servicing of sensitive equipment—it is currently envisaged that this will be a retrofit of an existing laboratory;
* an Exploitation Analysis Cell laboratory workspace—it is currently envisaged that this will be a retrofit of an existing drying room; and
* a suitable lockable storage solution for the following equipment:

* individual Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) equipment—this is currently anticipated to be located within current storage areas in such a way that existing storage is not reduced, and
* approximately 40m3 of additional or modified medium term storage racking for new and existing items, currently proposed to be located within the existing Q-Store.
