Sydney Town Hall - Supply & Install Lower Hall Operable Wall

⁠⁠⁠The Council of the City of Sydney ("City") invites tenders for the installation of a fixed wall component and operable wall panels in the Lower Hall located at Sydney Town Hall. It is mandatory that Tenderers submitting a response have previous experience with operable wall installations, including acute understanding of working within a significant heritage site.

Currently in the Lower Hall space there is a temporary free-standing wall supported by sandbags. This wall is removed from time to time to make available space as needed by venue hire, however it has been identified that the access corridor offered by the temporary wall is required by the venue on a permanent basis as an operable wall. The proposed works are to replace the temporary wall structure with a fixed wall component and 13 operable wall panels in the lower hall.

A site briefing will be undertaken at 11am on Tuesday 18 August 2015 at the Lower Hall of Sydney Town Hall, corner of Druitt and George Streets, Sydney. Tenderers are to meet at the entrance to the Sydney Town Hall loading dock, located off Druitt Street. Bidders are permitted to take basic site measurements as needed to assist with the RFT. Bidders may ask questions that will be later answered via Addendum.

Completed responses can be submitted via the electronic tender box (preferred) using the attached returnable forms. Respondents will receive a Successful Submission Receipt timed and dated upon completion. Submissions can also be placed in a sealed envelope and endorsed with the tender title, number, and closing date, and placed in the Quotation Box located Town Hall House, Level 1, 456 Kent Street Sydney 2000 by the nominated time and date.

Tenders close at 11.00 am AEST on 08 September 2015 and submissions must be fully received by this time. Council is not bound to accept the lowest priced Tender or all or any part of a Tender and reserves the right to conduct the Request for Tender process and select the successful respondent(s) as it sees fit.
